About

Welcome to Health Fitness Fabulous, my health and fitness blog based on the idea of becoming a new, healthier and happier you! My blog is a compilation of tips, workouts, articles, and other forms of fitspiration to motivate others to do great things.

As for me, I'm Anna, a nineteen-year-old college sophomore going for her psychology degree. Since I coined the term back in seventh grade, I've been known as the "small town dreamer" from Fairmont, MN, a city of 12,000 people near the northern border of Iowa. For years, I've wanted to explore the world and its wonders. A few of my passions are travel, writing, health and fitness, music, advocacy, civil rights, law, helping others, and philosophy.

My story? I was born and raised in Fairmont, MN where the trees are green and the waters are also green. I grew up as an adventurous child, playing with earth, water, and fire. I had an imagination running rampant and a fire in my soul pushing me to learn new things and grow as a person.

Despite my prosperous, affluent childhood, I didn't have it so hot at school. Kids bullied and secluded me, and I usually had just one friend that I'd stick beside loyally. Since school began, I started to realize why some say that life is awful. Soon after, I was diagnosed with anxiety disorders, depression, and recently, borderline personality disorder.

My mind has always been a little quirky. Through simple chemical imbalances and peers ruining my mind state even more, I learned to channel my sadness through writing. In my sophomore year of high school, I wrote my very first novel about a gay, suicidal teen in a wheelchair longing for love and an escape from his abusive Minneapolis home. This idea turned into a 500-paged story that was published a year later.

Although things were pretty great at that time of my life, the anxiety of going to school was still very present and destructive. Soon after the book was published, I began to catch feelings for a boy in my History class. I fell in lust, and, after two long years, I finally realized that I was searching for something that wasn't meant to be found, for it would come to me instead, when the time was right.

After years of torturous heartbreak and a feeling of grief for this lost "love," I met Derek on meetme.com. All it took was one "hi" and a smiley face to commence our truly beautiful story. Since that day close to 3 years ago, we've formed a bond so strong that I don't think there's anyone in existence that could break it. Derek is the love of my life and I could never have asked for a better person to share my life with.

After spending the summer months together, we'd both had separate plans to move on to our freshman year of college. And following hardly any contemplation, I changed my plans and decided to pursue college with the person that I don't think I could have lived without. We completed our freshman year together and, as time catches up with my story, we are currently getting prepared for our sophomore year at North Iowa Area in Mason City, Iowa. We have been together for a year and 3 months chalked with fun adventures, amazing memories, embarrassing experiences, dirty jokes, lots of laughter, and true, unconditional love. My life has gotten back to where it should be: happy, inspired, and healthy (physically and emotionally!)

To sum it up, this is my life. A beautiful, positive experience filled with memories, adventures, and the people I love. Thank you for reading, it's gonna be a wild ride!
