Healthy Living: 3 of My Favorite Recipes and 3 Of My Own Healthy Eating Tips

Tip time!

Need a boost every once in a while? Have you hit your fitness plateau? Not losing as much as you want, or not feeling as good as you want, more importantly? Find answers here.

Health Tip 1: Want a snack? Okay, you need to decipher whether you're actually hungry or whether you're just bored. You don't want the calories of emotional eating, trust me.

When you see something you'd like to eat, pour yourself a large glass of water instead. Sit down and drink it slowly. Once you've finished at least 12 ounces of water and have waited at least 3 minutes afterwards, you can then decide if you still want the snack. Does your stomach feel empty? Are you bored? Are you depressed? How much have you eaten already today?

Ultimately, you get to decide whether you need that cookie or not. But keep these questions in mind as you're making the tough decision.

Do you STILL want that cookie?!

Then you eat that cookie! But remember to savor the taste and eat it slow.

Healthy Recipe 1: Greek-Yogurt and Granola Strawberry Outshine Bars

If you haven't tried Outshine fruit bars yet, you're in for a very healthy, nutritious surprise. They're 35 calories for a small bar and 70 calories for a large bar! They're extremely tasty, frozen fruit bars packed with tons of nutrients.

Make these bars by spreading vanilla Greek yogurt onto a frozen strawberry Outshine bar and sprinkling granola onto the top. Simple as that, and yummy as ever!

Total of 90 calories in one snack!

Health Tip 2: Bored with your lifestyle? Make a significant change in it!

Get up early, for a change. Or sleep in, for a change. Whatever works.

Eat a doughnut if you haven't in ages. Or eat a salad if you haven't in ages.

Give life a good chasing. See your favorite artist live. Cut out GMO's. Change your diet. Change your workout plan, or create one if you don't work out. See the ocean. Jump on a trampoline. Go on a boat ride with your friends. Anything your heart desires.

Know that you deserve love, fun times, and happiness. You are worthy. Now that you know that, you can accomplish it all. Live life free of bad chemicals, negative thoughts, and toxic people. And know that the way others treat you is a pure reflection of them, not you. Try to live free of fast food, but get it every once in a while. Keep your mind as healthy as possible. And ultimately, do NOT be afraid.

Healthy Recipe 2: Chicken Avocado Burritos

Made out of cilantro, shredded mozzarella cheese, avocado chunks, and shredded chicken breast, these burritos are stunningly yum. Just throw all of the ingredients together and mix! Add mixture to 4 large (or 8 small) tortillas and wrap tightly. Then fry in olive oil in a frying pan or grill till light brown and crispy. Enjoy!

Health Tip 3: Have cheat meals, not cheat days!

I heard a myth recently that a cheat day full of garbage food can give you a boost and get you off of your weight-loss plateau. Wrong!

I do believe that diets don't always work. You really should allow yourself a cheat meal every so often, or even a cheat snack. Maybe even just one food that you love. This will help the lifestyle switch.

A changed lifestyle doesn't have to be entirely void of the foods you love. Plus, giving yourself cheat meals will make sticking with your diet much easier, since you'll be indulging yourself and not simply giving up entirely.

It really is all about your overall lifestyle, and not so much about a temporary weight loss plan or diet to get healthier. It is seriously going to make you feel better to change your life starting today, and to keep it that way forever. That's just my advice, and I know for a fact that writing this blog is going to help and motivate me greatly.

Healthy Recipe 3: Healthy-Substitute Cauliflower-Crust Pizza

To make cauliflower crust pizza, simply shred cauliflower until it's a doughy substance similar to mashed potatoes. Microwave substance for 7 minutes and cool. Mix substance with mozzarella, parmesan, and 1 large egg. Flatten out substance just like you would with pizza crust and you've got your dough. Now add pizza sauce and lowfat cheese to the top, adding whatever toppings you like! Possibly veggies, maybe even sausage or Canadian bacon!

Thank you for reading! Have a wonderful day/life.
